Helene R. Hechtkopf graduated in 2007 from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, cum laude, where she was a member of the Order of the Coif, Associate Editor of the Cardozo Law Review and Dean’s Distinguished Scholar.
Helene joined Hoguet Newman Regal & Kenney, LLP, in 2008. During her time at the firm, she has been involved in a wide range of litigation, appellate, and white collar criminal matters, including a multimillion dollar software and construction litigation against a defense contractor; representation of a state agency in a criminal mental health proceeding; representation of a private equity fund in a litigation with a large bank; representation of an foreign energy company in an appeal to the New York State Court of Appeals; and the representation of a number of individuals in investigations by agencies of the federal government and FINRA on regulatory and criminal matters. Helene is a member of the New York State Bar Association’s Committee on New York’s Civil Practice Law and Rules, which monitors the current state of, and proposed amendments to, New York’s procedural law.
Helene was previously a litigation associate at Heller Ehrman LLP in New York. Helene is a graduate of the University of Virginia (B.A. with High Distinction).
