Jules R. Cattie, III focuses on complex civil discovery and litigation. Mr. Cattie’s practice involves all phases of litigation including discovery disputes and motion practice. Recent matters include SEC investigations and contract disputes between corporate and public entities. He has litigated in various state, federal and foreign courts in during his career.
Mr. Cattie graduated from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University in 1995. He also attended Villanova University School of Law in 1992. Mr. Cattie received his undergraduate degree from The American University in Washington, D.C. in 1990 with a semester abroad at the University of London in 1989. He was previously employed as an attorney in the litigation department of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, LLP where he worked on a wide range of complex commercial and corporate litigation matters. He has also worked in several Asian countries and served as General Counsel for a start-up in Bangkok, Thailand in 2010. In Thailand, he assisted Thai counsel with American, European and Australian businesses wishing to set up operations or invest in the Kingdom. He also wrote articles on the business and investing climate for an expatriate business journal.
Mr. Cattie is admitted to practice in the State of New York, the State of Louisiana, the Western District of Louisiana, and Washington, D.C. He previously served as the Treasurer, Vice-President and then President of the Southwest Louisiana Young Lawyers Association.
