Jeffrey A. Miller



Jeffrey A. Miller represents domestic and international clients primarily in commercial contract matters and labor and employment disputes. He also has extensive experience representing policyholders seeking insurance recovery. He has participated in all aspects of litigation, including document production and review, depositions, motion practice, dispute resolution, trial, and appeal.

In addition, Jeff has represented children with special needs in administrative hearings and actions against the New York City Department of Education. While on fellowship at Advocates for Children of New York, he won favorable decisions and negotiated settlements to secure educational services and classroom placements for students throughout the New York metropolitan area. 

Jeff was previously an associate at Dewey & LeBoeuf, where he was involved in the representation of a major international financial institution, with a focus on expert discovery. As a member of Dewey’s sports practice group, Jeff represented professional athletes in cases regarding workers’ compensation and arbitration rights. He has written numerous articles concerning collective bargaining and NBA league governance issues for



­Representing individuals in an age discrimination suit against a multinational technology firm.

­Defending a major healthcare provider against discrimination and retaliation claims brought by a former employee.

­Won multimillion-dollar jury award against a global credit card company on behalf of its foreign licensee (second-chaired trial and questioned witnesses, including cross-examining experts).

­Argued for and obtained dismissal of tort claims against a NASDAQ-100 software company in a case concerning third-party misuse of financial services software.

­Secured several million dollars in insurance coverage for a commercial client following destruction of its operating plant.

­Negotiated settlement on behalf of a multinational technology corporation in a breach of contract action.

­Defeated summary judgment on behalf of a major manufacturer of agricultural products in an insurance coverage litigation concerning in excess of $100 million, leading to settlement.

­Negotiated a mediated settlement on behalf of a public transit system in a construction dispute.
