Ilene Jaroslaw Appointed to Law360 White Collar Editorial Advisory Board
Ilene Jaroslaw, partner at Hoguet Newman Regal & Kenney, LLP, has been selected to Law360’s 2018 White Collar Editorial Advisory Board. The goal of the advisory board is to obtain feedback on Law360’s coverage and gain insight from experts in the field on how to best shape future reporting. She is one of only 12 attorneys selected nationally.
As a former federal prosecutor with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York, Jaroslaw brings over 23 years of trial and appellate experience to the firm’s White Collar Defense & Government Investigations practice. As an AUSA, she prosecuted more than 30 federal jury trials to verdict and argued more than 30 appellate matters in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and served as Chief of the General Crimes Section, among other leadership positions.
Recently, Jaroslaw presided over an internal investigation into a major global financial institution. She also represented a foreign credit card issuer and acquirer in a Southern District of New York trial, securing a multimillion-dollar jury verdict against a multinational credit card company; she currently represents a bank president in a Department of Justice criminal investigation; and a hedge fund director, a bank official, and the general counsel of a major university in various Eastern District of New York fraud and money laundering investigations. Jaroslaw was recently a speaker on a panel addressing cross-border prosecutions at the American Bar Association’s Sixth Annual White Collar Crime Institute in London.
Jaroslaw is a member of the Women’s White Collar Defense Association – Development Committee; the New York City Bar Association’s Committee on Women in the Legal Profession – White Collar Crime Subcommittee; and the American Bar Association’s Criminal Justice Section – Women in White Collar Committee. Jaroslaw also serves on the Advisory Board of JALBCA (Judges & Lawyers Breast Cancer Alert) and the Lawyers Council of the Citizens Crime Commission of New York.
