Randi May Named an Employment Law Trailblazer by The National Law Journal

New York, NY—March 1, 2019—Hoguet Newman Regal & Kenney, LLP partner Randi May has been honored as one of only 26 Employment Law Trailblazers by The National Law Journal. Her profile is available here.

For more than 20 years, Randi has successfully advised employers and executives in all aspects of the employment relationship, with a focus on counseling, advice, and litigation avoidance. She has experience counseling a broad range of clients on issues concerning sexual harassment, discrimination and retaliation, workplace investigations, compensation, wage and hour issues, and all other federal, New York state and city laws governing employment.

Her litigation avoidance techniques have been particularly effective in sidestepping lawsuits around oft-disputed restrictive covenants. She has successfully helped executives exit their employers and launch competing firms, without triggering lawsuits by their former employers. Her ability to steer high-profile employees through such delicate situations without litigation is part of her broader practice helping both employers and employees spot looming crises before they happen, and avoid them.

The respect that Randi’s clients have for her judgment and abilities as a lawyer has recently led them to engage her to conduct #MeToo-related investigations, at both a prominent national law firm and large public benefits companies. Randi has become an authority on sexual harassment as well, through writing and speaking, among other activities.

Randi is the third HNRK attorney to be recognized in The National Law Journal’s Trailblazers series.
