John Kenney to Moderate Federal Bar Council Webinar on Internal Corporate Investigations

New York, NY—September 17, 2021—Partner John Kenney will moderate a Federal Bar Council webinar covering best practices for internal corporate investigations on October 5 at 6:30 p.m. EST. You can register for the webinar here.

With distinguished panelists – including Hon. Jed S. Rakoff, U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of New York, and Laura Grossfield Birger, chief of the Criminal Division for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York – the program will discuss issues of interest to practitioners involved in internal investigations, including: attorney-client privilege; employee interviews and representation concerns; whether to cooperate with government agencies or risk enforcement action and/or criminal prosecution; and cross-border issues such as data privacy laws, cultural and language differences, and the specter of both foreign and domestic investigations and litigation.

At HNRK, John focuses his practice on complex civil litigation, government investigations, business crimes, and corporate compliance. Among other high-profile matters over the course of his career, John handled the investigation of the Franklin National Bank collapse (then the largest bank to fail in U.S. history), was involved with the Whitewater investigation in Washington, D.C., and also represented a witness in the Anita Hill hearings. He formerly served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York for nine years, including three years as the Executive Assistant U.S. Attorney.
