John Curley Named a Litigation Trailblazer by The National Law Journal

New York, NY—November 1, 2022—Hoguet Newman Regal & Kenney, LLP partner John Curley has been named to The National Law Journal’s list of Litigation Trailblazers. He is one of 25 attorneys selected and his profile is available here.

John frequently works on disputes with large dollar amounts in the balance, significant media interest, or both. He focuses his practice on complex business disputes, including civil securities litigation, shareholder disputes, and commercial matters involving RICO and fraud claims. He also represents clients in securities-related regulatory investigations and proceedings, including investigations by FINRA, the CFTC, the SEC, and the Department of Justice.

Recently, he successfully defended an equities trader against unfounded insider trading allegations; a FINRA panel dismissed the proceeding in its entirety following a three-day disciplinary hearing. He also won a case that was featured in the New York Post, winning summary judgment for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority in litigation with Michael Jordan’s Steakhouse, which once occupied a prominent place on the balcony of Grand Central Terminal.

John has been recognized by Benchmark Litigation since 2020, and by Super Lawyers since 2017. He was also shortlisted for Euromoney Legal Media Group’s Americas Rising Star Award for Best in White Collar Crime in 2018 and 2019.
