John J. Kenney Named A White Collar Trailblazer by the National Law Journal

Hoguet Newman Regal & Kenney, LLP partner John Kenney has been recognized as one of 25 White Collar Crime Trailblazers by The National Law Journal.

Over a more than 40-year career, beginning with his service as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York, John has tried over 75 jury trials, argued numerous state and federal appeals, and represented clients before bodies ranging from the Office of Government Ethics to the Republic of Italy.

Most recently, he represented a major U.S. investment advisor in an investigation by the SEC into its method of obtaining funds from sovereign wealth fund and foreign pension funds; a TD Securities trader at trial before a FINRA administrative judge regarding an alleged insider trading charge; and the head of U.S. dollar swaps trading at Barclays in connection with DOJ and CFTC investigations into LIBOR manipulation. He also tried a 10-week criminal securities fraud case before a jury in Manhattan.
