Bradley Nash Quoted in Law360 on N.C. Farm Bureau Mut. Ins. Co. Inc. v. Lanier Law Grp.

Oral arguments are taking place this week before the North Carolina Supreme Court in a dispute between North Carolina Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Co. and Lanier Law Group over whether the firm, which is accused of violating the Driver’s Privacy Protection Act by using personal information to market legal services to crash victims, is entitled to coverage under an excess policy. HNRK partner Bradley Nash spoke with Law360 to discuss what’s at stake in this case. He notes, “almost everything anyone does is intentional at some level, but a person can act intentionally without intending to harm,” adding, “if there is a negligent, nonintentional theory under which the plaintiff could recover…there ought to be at least defense coverage until there’s a determination in the underlying action one way or another.” Read the full article here.
