Overview
Alison Ward is a litigator with experience in a broad range of complex commercial disputes and internal investigations. Her practice includes matters involving contract claims, tortious interference, trade secrets, construction, Section 1983 claims, and arbitration. She also works on a range of employment-related issues, including discrimination claims, internal investigations, and restrictive covenants. Alison is experienced in all stages of litigation, from pre-suit strategy and correspondence to drafting pleadings and motions, managing all aspects of discovery, and trial and appellate proceedings. She is well-versed in arbitration and mediation and has significant experience of managing large-scale e-discovery.
Prior to joining Hoguet Newman Regal & Kenney in 2021, Alison was a litigation associate at O’Melveny & Myers LLP in New York City, where she worked on a wide array of complex commercial litigation matters and white-collar investigations.

- Represented purchaser of consumer medical device business in an arbitration against seller, obtaining a favorable verdict on breach of representations and warranties.
- Ongoing defense of government agencies against compensation claims by construction contractors related to multi-billion-dollar public works projects.
- Represented MTA in employment discrimination litigation; obtained summary judgment on federal discrimination claims and dismissal of remaining state law claims.
- Represented plaintiff technology company in trade secret and tortious interference litigation against a former employee and their new employer; matter settled favorably.
- Represented healthcare company in multiple employee wrongful termination and discrimination actions; two matters settled favorably to date.
- Defended employee in a FINRA arbitration involving restrictive covenant claims.
- Defended financial services corporations in class action ERISA suits.
- Defended private equity firm in tortious interference claims related to transactions involving subsidiary media company.
- Participated in large-scale internal investigations into regulatory compliance (CMS, FCPA) for multi-national healthcare and tech companies, including interviews with key employees and compliance personnel and drafting related reports.
- Represented father of man killed by police in bringing federal civil rights claims from discovery through federal jury trial.
- Represented juvenile immigrants in successful family court petitions and federal immigration filings.
