Overview
Shanene Frederick is a litigator with a practice focused on general commercial litigation and employment law. She represents a diverse group of clients across a range of industries, including transit-focused public benefit corporations, agricultural companies, cosmetics and health product corporations, non-bank, asset-based lenders, boutique investment banking firms, and individual clients. Shanene has experience handling disputes that span commercial, employment, administrative, and tort matters.
Prior to joining Hoguet Newman Regal & Kenney in 2022, Shanene completed a two-year clerkship at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, where she worked on a variety of civil and criminal matters. While at the University of Michigan Law School, Shanene served as the Executive Articles Editor for the Michigan Journal of Race and Law.
In addition to her practice, Shanene is a member of the Equal Employment Opportunity Committee of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the New York State Bar Association, where she contributes to discussions and initiatives related to workplace equality and employment law developments.
Recognition
- Represented a major public transportation authority in successfully securing dismissal of race and age discrimination claims brought by a current employee.
