She is a champion of, and example to, women lawyers. She has consistently mentored the firm’s interns, associates, and younger partners––both male and female––and was instrumental in establishing the firm’s policy––even before the COVID-19 pandemic––of flexible hours and work locations, creating an environment where all the firm’s attorneys can maintain a thriving work-life balance.

Dorothea is a fellow of the American College of Coverage Counsel., the preeminent association representing the interests of policyholders and insurers in disputes arising out of insurance policies. She serves as the policyholder-side co-chair of the Business Interruption Insurance Subcommittee of the ABA’s Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee.
