Joshua Blosveren Named a Northeast Trailblazer by The American Lawyer

As a partner in the firm’s Insurance Recovery Litigation & Counseling practice, Josh has represented corporate policyholders in a broad range of industries in a wide variety of insurance matters. He has a long record of successful advocacy in influential, valuable, and precedent-setting insurance disputes.
Josh recently negotiated a favorable settlement for Cox Enterprises, Inc. in coverage litigation concerning a high-profile invasion-of-privacy lawsuit brought by Terry Bollea (aka Hulk Hogan) alleging harm from the release of a sex tape, after defeating the insurer’s motion to dismiss Cox’s claims for breach of contract and bad faith. He also recently settled a coverage dispute stemming from a headline-grabbing class action against Tesla, and secured a complete victory in the Second Circuit Court of Appeals on behalf of apparel manufacturer Fabrique Innovations, Inc. in connection with its claim for coverage under a cargo insurance policy after the loss of its merchandise.
Josh also represents Syngenta in various arbitrations and litigations involving insurance claims implicating well over $1 billion in coverage, and Cox Enterprises, Inc. and Cox Communications, Inc. in additional insurance matters involving losses exceeding $1 billion.
Josh was previously named an Elite Boutique Trailblazer by The National Law Journal and has been named a Litigation Star by Benchmark since 2021. He is the second HNRK partner to be named to The American Lawyer’s Northeast Trailblazers list.
