Preparing for the Potential FTC Noncompete Ban


The Federal Trade Commission recently voted to approve the final rule on noncompete agreements, effectively banning the majority of noncompete contracts, beginning on September 4, 2024. Employers should keep their noncompete agreements in place for now, as the rule is being challenged in courts across the country. However, should the rule become effective, here are some alternatives employers should consider to protect their investments and interests.
