Partner Damian Cavaleri Named an Employment Law Trailblazer by The National Law Journal
New York, NY—March 2, 2020—Hoguet Newman Regal & Kenney, LLP partner Damian Cavaleri has been named a 2020 Employment Law Trailblazer by The National Law Journal. He is one of only 25 attorneys selected to the list this year, and the sixth HNRK partner to be recognized in The National Law Journal’s Trailblazers series since 2018. His profile is available here.
Damian has more than a decade of experience litigating and arbitrating a wide range of employment-related disputes. He regularly advises both employers and employees on novel legal issues, with a focus on helping clients navigate restrictive covenants and their enforcement where necessary. Notably, he helped secure the first seizure order under the Defend Trade Secrets Act, giving those seeking to protect their trade secrets access to a highly unusual remedy: property seizures following theft.
He also defended one of New York’s largest medical centers against numerous employment discrimination claims in a six-week trial before the notoriously employee-friendly New York Supreme Court, Bronx County. Currently, he is representing a publicly-traded international health care provider and public agencies in discrimination claims brought by former employees in multiple cases in the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York and New York Supreme Court, New York County.
Damian was named to Euromoney Legal Media Group’s 2019 Rising Stars Shortlist for Best in Litigation: Trial Lawyer, and to Benchmark Litigation’s 40 & Under Hot List.
